The Rotary Club of Great Neck held its second evening networking/social event on Wednesday, April 13, at Wild Ginger in The Gardens at Great Neck Plaza. Through special arrangements, the club enjoyed a wide variety of delicious dishes at a set price for the evening.
“Justin, the manager at Wild Ginger, did an outstanding job in giving us a nice assortment and choices of different dishes. I highly recommend Wild Ginger as a ‘go-to’ place for lunch or dinner,” said Roger Chizever, club events chair.
“I plan to keep creating special nights like this for our members, friends and neighbors,” Chizever added. “Next month, on May 11, in place of our networking/social event, our club is being honored by the Great Neck Chamber of Commerce with its Not-For-Profit Award in recognition of all that our club has done for Great Neck, as well as for our participation in many of the Rotary International charitable initiatives around the world.”
Rotary Club President Leonard N. Katz, commented, “Roger is doing a great job and he is already planning a terrific event for the second Wednesday night in June. Everyone who is interested in joining with us for the dinner event should contact us.”
Katz added, “We plan to hold these monthly networking/social events as another way to support our business community and demonstrate to town residents that joining with Rotary is a great way to meet good people and ‘do good’ at the same time.”
The Rotary Club of Great Neck invites residents and businesspeople to visit its meetings for social and business networking. The weekly Wednesday morning breakfast meetings are held at 8 a.m. in the boardroom of TD Bank, 2 Great Neck Rd. The group’s dinner meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at local restaurants.
