Manhasset Students Receive Service Awards

One hundred eighteen Manhasset High School students were recognized for their community service efforts on Thursday, May 5, before the regularly scheduled Manhasset Board of Education meeting. The President’s Volunteer Service Award is the premier volunteer awards program, encouraging citizens to live a life of service through presidential gratitude and national recognition.
Students earn service credit for each calendar year. The award levels are Bronze for 100 to 174 cumulative hours of service within a calendar year, Silver for 175 to 249 hours, and Gold for 250 or more hours of service. High school students ages 14 and 15 earn a Gold award for 100 or more cumulative hours of service.
