Residents enjoyed the Park District’s Get Active event at Allenwood Park on Sunday, May 15, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Although the weather was a bit chillier than expected—and it may have sprinkled for a minute or two—the event was lots of fun for everyone who participated.

Families enjoyed the fun-packed day, which included activities such as the ga-ga pit, disc golf, rock-wall climbing, ring toss, gymnastics, bounce rides, mini golf and face painting, along with DJ music playing throughout the park.

The free cotton candy gave everyone a burst of energy for their next activity.
