Metropolitan Commercial Bank welcomes the community to the opening night celebration of the second Bank on Art Showcase, which will feature paintings by local artists from the Great Neck Public Schools (GNPS) Community Education program on Tuesday, May 24, at 7 p.m. The event is free of charge, will include refreshments and will be held at the banking center at 111 Great Neck Rd. in Great Neck Plaza.
“We are proud to be a part of this wonderful community and to help support programs like the GNPS Community Education arts program,” said Mark DeFazio, president and CEO of Metropolitan Commercial Bank. “We specifically designed our Great Neck banking center for these types of events, and we look forward to making these incredibly talented Great Neck artists’ work accessible to the public. We encourage the community to join us to meet the artists and enjoy their artwork.”
Scheduled to be on display through July, the exhibit will display 25 pieces of art and features artists Constance Blackman, Barbara Chin, Janet Dansbury, Amy Finkston, Barbara Flamm, Lois Hellman, Laurie Levine, Diane Lieberman, Charles Messite, Warren Mintz, Piret Mowlen, Stephanie Navon-Jacobson, Laura Porsch, Homa Rabbani, Mina Rabbani, Shelli Robiner-Ardizzone, Joanne Seitelman, Atsuko Ann Seki, Barbara Stone, Rosita Tenembaum, Renee Wasserman, Yoko Watanabe and Mimi Wohlberg.
Musical accompaniment for the evening will be provided by Steve Belfer, musical accompanist at the Community Education program.
