The recently expanded and extensively renovated Alley Pond Golf Center celebrated the grand opening of its 7,000-square-foot clubhouse building at 232-01 Northern Blvd. in Douglaston on Friday, May 27.
Nestled at the edge of Alley Pond Park, the second largest public park in Queens, Alley Pond Golf Center underwent a $3-million renovation to offer customers an improved golf and recreational experience. Highlights include an expanded clubhouse, 40 additional roofed, temperature-controlled driving stations, renovation of the miniature golf course, the addition of an indoor PGA simulator and an improved traffic pattern and parking for customer convenience.
The clubhouse facility tripled in size and space and now features the Alley Pond Sports Bar & Grill with sophisticated decor, a patio and deck, two dozen TVs, an extensive selection of craft beers, wine and spirits and cuisine offered by a four-star chef.
The added golf stations bring the total roofed and temperature controlled golf stations to 72. The indoor PGA golf simulator replicates more than a dozen prized courses, including Augusta National, Pebble Beach, Firestone Country Club, Doral’s Blue Monster and more.
Alley Pond Golf Center offers a summer golf camp, clinics and private sessions with licensed professionals, and operates from 6 a.m. to 12 a.m. daily.
