Civic Association Meets
The Hicksville Gardens Civic Association general meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hicksville Public Library. Homemakers’ Council
The Hicksville Homemakers’ Council meets weekly on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the William Bennett Hicksville Community Center, 28 West Carl St., Hicksville. Social Dance Matinee

The Hicksville School District Board of Education will hold its monthly meeting at 8:30 p.m. at the Administration Building, 200 Division Ave. The public is invited.

Lecture: Practical Magick
The Eyes of Learning, a non-profit metaphysical learning and teaching group, meets monthly and holds programs at Levittown Hall, 201 Levittown Parkway, Hicksville. At 8 p.m., there will be a lecture by Qumran Taj, a published author, public speaker and mentor whose writings, quotations and interviews have been published in many respected newspapers, radio, TV and films. He is a certified professional life coach, teacher and motivational speaker. The focus of this program is practical application of simple step-by-step methods that anyone can use to improve important aspects of their lives: money, love, health or simply increase their confidence and self-esteem. Classic Cars Galore
AutoMat Customizing & Restoration’s 60th anniversary Car Show will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. AutoMat’s facility, 69 Hazel St., Hicksville. This free event will feature more than 300 customs, classics, antiques, exotics, sports and luxury cars & trucks. Bring a camera for pictures with the AutoMat Girls. No entrance fee. No pre-registration needed. Just bring your car, park, and enjoy. There will be a DJ, food vendors and facility tours.
