MC Dance & Fitness (MCDF) was welcomed to its new studio on 200 Middle Neck Rd. on Wednesday, May 18. Members of the Great Neck Chamber of Commerce and the Long Island community gathered for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, where owners Yves Maco and Coco Xie happily introduced everyone to the new and improved “home away from home.”
The studio has been operating in Great Neck for almost four years and the owners share an immense gratitude for the community’s support in its success.
“We are so lucky that we have such great support not only from our community, but also from the surrounding communities,” said Maco. “We have people traveling from all over, including Queens, the Five Towns and Smithtown, that really feel like this is their home. I’m very proud of making this place a home away from home for so many people.”
Xie added, “We are so lucky to be this loved by the community and to have the ability to share our passion of helping people live a happy lifestyle. I am so happy we have a new home to continue reaching this goal.”
MCDF offers a wide variety of group fitness and dance classes, as well as personal training services, aimed to help individuals meet their personal fitness goals. State-of-the-art instructors work hard to make classes stimulating and fun so that members can enjoy the exciting, welcoming environment the studio offers. Members call MCDF “a true gem” because of its inspiring instructors and motivating atmosphere.
“I call MC my happy place because it truly is,” said member Lydia Camileri. “I live in Oceanside and travel four to five times a week to Great Neck to take classes. This gym is like no other.”
Cutting the ribbon, President of the Great Neck Chamber of Commerce Scott Zimmerman wished Maco and Xie congratulations and continued success with their future endeavors. The owners hope that the new studio will help the positive, hardworking and motivational atmosphere that characterizes MC Dance & Fitness flourish.
