As social media becomes more of a must-have than an option in the business world, companies are tapping outside sources to help them be savvy. Stone Media Consulting is a full-service online and social media marketing agency that provides keyword-rich social media posts, email blasts and online sweepstakes. They also create, track and manage online advertising such as Facebook ads and Google Adwords. To give all platforms a consistent look and feel, Stone Media can create and set up all appropriate accounts and pages. As chief operating officer Matt Schuller explains: “Our whole company is about online marketing and advertising.”
Providing quality, detailed content helps set Stone Media apart from other agencies.
“Many of our clients provide professional services and demand specific, well written website copy or ghost-written blog material,” said Schuller. “Our professional writing services are often defined by detailed research to assure the highest level of product.”
Also differentiating them from other social media agencies is Stone Media’s efforts to streamline client cost.
“We pride ourselves in monitoring our advertising campaigns to drive down cost per click,” said Schuller. Another source of pride is the company’s affiliation with nonprofit and charity based clients such as The Silicon Valley (Northern California) chapter of the Salvation Army. Stone Media has been tasked with the job of engaging with millennials and challenging them to get involved and to volunteer in the community.
Aside from essential word of mouth referrals, Schuller says that networking is the lifeblood of Stone Media.
“We wouldn’t be in existence without it,” he said, adding that he finds that local chambers of commerce and other networking groups have been the best avenues for them. “My best advice is to get out there and get involved. Schedule as many one-on-ones as you can. Networking is what happens in the meetings between the meetings.”
As a new Plainview-Old Bethpage Chamber of Commerce member, Schuller said that simply meeting new people so far has been “extremely valuable.” He is looking forward to being an integral part of the chamber’s 2016 Craft and Gift Fair committee, anticipating “great fun with great benefits.”
Schuller and his wife, Christine, have a son William who is about to turn seven. Among his favorite leisure time activities are outdoorsy ones like bike riding and flying kites, as well as cool techy ones like geocaching, which is an outdoor recreational activity in which participants use a Global Positioning System receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called “geocaches” or “caches,” anywhere in the world.
