Demonstrates Outstanding Spirit

EdelmanGirlScouts_061516_picThe Girl Scouts of Nassau County (GSNC) recently honored women for their lifelong achievements with the Girl Scouts during the annual Adult Recognitions Ceremony at the LIU-Post campus in Brookville. Among the awardees GSNC honored, was Theresa “Terry” Edelman, who serves the Hicksville Association.

Edelman received the County Spirit Award, which recognizes her exemplifying the true spirit of Girl Scouting by presenting a positive role model, creating awareness in the community and creating innovative programming for today’s Girl Scouts.

Edelman spends countless hours volunteering at camp and with council events. She is a camp trainer, Association Mags & Munchies and cookie drop site organizer as well as an Oktoberfest committee member and workshop provider.

“Terry is a true Girl Scout that never turns down an opportunity to lend a hand,” praised the GSNC. Also recognized from Hicksville was Judy Stenson (not pictured) who received the Honor Pin.
