A 25-year-old East Patchogue man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Blue Point on Wednesday morning.

Suffolk County police said Steven Larsen was riding a Yamaha westbound on Montauk Highway when he passed a vehicle on the left at a high rate of speed and struck an eastbound Honda Civic that was making a left turn into the parking lot of Eastern Athletic Club at 6:55 a.m.

Larsen and the other driver were taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue, where Larsen was pronounced dead and the other driver was treated for minor injuries.

Fifth Squad detectives impounded both vehicles and ask anyone with information on this crash to call them at 631-854-8552.
