The Ed. Foundation awarded the first scholarship in honor of retired technology teacher Don Schaefer to graduating senior Shannon Rybecky. The scholarship honors his legacy as a technology teacher by encouraging students to continue their studies at the college level. Rybecky has demonstrated a passion for technology and embodies the values that Schaefer imparted to his students throughout his many years as a teacher. The Ed. Foundation congratulates her on this special recognition and wishes her continued success at Clemson University in the fall.

Graduating Schreiber senior Gabrielle Sanft was awarded the 2016 Ed. Foundation scholarship at the Schreiber Community Awards Ceremony on June 8. Sanft was selected based on her compelling essay about her experience with the Dallas Brass grant; working with these professional musicians had a significant impact on Sanft’s decision to major in music and pursue a career as a musician. The Ed. Foundation is proud to recognize her talent and wishes her the best at Syracuse University in the fall.
