During the late afternoon, many people were enjoying the first-ever Multicultural Festival in Great Neck Plaza on Sunday, June 26.
As the Sidewalk Sale was coming to a close, the clothing shops displayed racks of clothes on the street in front of their stores and people were haggling to get the best prices.
I recognized some familiar faces, but most important of all, I got to know a few new places by visiting their booths.
Children were taking home artsy Chinese name paintings and caricature drawings for free, though they had to get a ticket first.
The Minion from Nature’s Remedy was very popular—and a few children followed him into the store when he tried to take a break.
The first-ever Multicultural Fest was a well attended and engaging festival. Many people just sat down and chatted—and no one was checking their phone. 🙂
