Village Pops

These musicians will perform Wednesday nights through Aug.10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Gazebo at the Village Green next to the town hall at 361 Main St. Bring your lawn chair, relax and enjoy the music.

Movies On The Green

The Village Green, next to the town hall at 361 Main St., will host a Thursday movie series. Cartoons will precede the movies, which begin about 15 minutes before dusk and are supplied by the Farmingdale Public Library. Feature film tonight is the animated Hotel Transylvania 2, rated PG, 89 minutes. Plot: Dracula (voice of Adam Sandler) and his friends try to bring out the monster in his half-human, half-vampire grandson in order to keep Mavis from leaving the hotel. Popcorn for all. Checker Cab supplies the ice cream, and McDonald’s the orange drinks.

Historical Society Meeting

The Farmingdale-Bethpage Historical Society will hold its annual general meeting at 2 p.m. at the Farmingdale Village Hall, 361 Main St. Elections for president, vice president and treasurer will be held and all members are invited to attend and vote. President Eric Goldschrafe will give his annual report, including announcements of upcoming events. A Strawberry Festival for members and their families will follow, organized by hospitality chair JoAnne Bihary.

BOT Meeting

Due to the Fourth of July holiday, the Village of Farmingdale Board of Trustees will hold its regular public meeting a week later than the usual first Monday of the month. Meeting will begin at 8 p.m., preceded by a work session at 7 p.m. at Village Hall, 361 Main St. in Farmingdale.
