Central Islip Woman Found Unconscious Dies

A 27-year-old woman who was found unconscious in her Central Islip home died over the Fourth of July weekend, Suffolk County police said.

Shantel Scott was found unconscious in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 3 following a party at her Naples Avenue home, police said.

She was taken by private vehicle to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where she was pronounced dead.

An autopsy will be performed by the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s office to determine her cause of death.
