Metropolitan Commercial Bank welcomed the Great Neck community to an opening night celebration for the bank’s latest Bank on Art Showcase, which features paintings by local artists from the Great Neck Public Schools (GNPS) Community Education program. The showcase is open to the public through July 31 during regular banking hours at 111 Great Neck Rd.
“Being an active member of the Great Neck community is important to us,” said Laura Capra, senior vice president and head of Retail Banking. “Hosting local events, like our Bank on Art Showcases, is just one example of our commitment to the Great Neck community.”
During the opening night celebration, more than 50 community members, including the artists, their families and friends, enjoyed refreshments while viewing the paintings on display.
Artists featured in the showcase include Constance Blackman, Barbara Chin, Janet Dansbury, Amy Finkston, Barbara Flamm, Lois Hellman, Laurie Levine, Diane Lieberman, Charles Messite, Warren Mintz, Piret Mowlen, Stephanie Navon-Jacobson, Laura Porsch, Homa Rabbani, Mina Rabbani, Shelli Robiner-Ardizzone, Joanne Seitelman, Atsuko Ann Seki, Barbara Stone, Rosita Tenembaum, Renee Wasserman, Yoko Watanabe and Mimi Wohlberg.
“Thanks to Metropolitan Commercial Bank, local artists are able to share their art with the public in a convenient, accessible and beautiful venue,” said Samantha Tarantola, director of Community Education for the GNPS. “We encourage everyone in the community to see some of the truly exceptional artwork on display.”
