Art lecture with Louise Cella Caruso. Journey through New York between 1800 and 1950 and enjoy works by Childa Hassam, Robert Henri, George Bellows, Max Weber and many more artists who devoted their talents to depicting the streets, parks, bridges skyscrapers, as well as the daily escapades of the people. Movie: Concussion
The Massapequa Bar Harbour auditorium will have a 1:30 and 6:30 p.m. screening of the movie Concussion. Based on the incredible true David versus Goliath story of American immigrant Dr. Bennet Omalu (Will Smith), the brilliant forensic neuropathologist who made the first discovery of CTE, a football-related brain trauma, in a pro player and fought for the truth to be known. Omalu’s emotional quest puts him at dangerous odds with one of the most powerful—and beloved—institutions in the world. Starring Will Smith and Alec Baldwin (2015; PG-13, 2 hrs.).

Teen Coding
In this free, hands-on class, you’ll learn the basics of computer language, code structure and implementation. Prerequisites: comfort with computers and keyboarding. Library on the Lawn

The Massapequa Park Village will hold a board meeting at 8 p.m. at 151 Front St., Massapequa Park. The public is welcome to attend.
YES to Conduct NYS Mandated Reporter Classes
YES Community Counseling Center is approved by the New York State Department of Education to provide the state’s two-hour certification training for mandated reporters of child abuse and neglect. Individuals seeking employment or certification in the education or health care fields may be required to complete this course. The next training will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the agency’s location at 75 Grand Ave., Massapequa. The cost is $25 per person, payable in advance. Movie: My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2
In this sequel to the 2002 sleeper hit, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Toula (Nia Vardalos) finds her extended family rocked by the revelation that her mother and father were never really married—which of course, requires an even bigger Greek wedding so they can officially tie the knot. Meanwhile, Toula struggles to spice up her marriage to Ian (John Corbett), and is heartbroken when her daughter Paris (Elena Kampouris) says she wants to go to a distant college in order to get away from her overbearing clan.
