A 53-year-old Setauket man was killed when his SUV crashed into another in West Babylon on Wednesday evening.
Suffolk County police said Alfred Bayard was driving a Jeep Wrangler eastbound on Sunrise Highway when his vehicle collided with a Dodge Ram at the Hubbards Path overpass at 6:30 p.m.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where she was treated for minor injuries.
First Squad detectives impounded the trucks safety checks, are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information regarding this crash is asked to call them at 631-854-8152.
