Lucian Truscott To Speak For ROA

ROASpeaker_090716.ALucian Truscott IV will be the season’s inaugural speaker for Reach Out America (ROA) on Wednesday, Sept. 14.

The proud member of a distinguished military family and a direct descendent of Thomas Jefferson, Truscott will present his unique perspective on the current political landscape. The writer has long staked out iconoclastic territory. Throughout a long career as a West Point activist, best-selling novelist, screenwriter and award-winning contributor to the Village Voice, Rolling Stone and The New York Times, he has been a loud advocate for separation of church and state, soldiers, gays and the black progeny of his great-great-great-great grandfather.

The community is welcome, admission is free and refreshments will be served at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock, 48 Shelter Rock Rd. in Manhasset. Reach Out America is an action-oriented grassroots organization engaged in a progressive agenda of peace, justice and a sustainable planet. For more information, call 516-773-4765.
