Boy, 15, Fatally Shot in Hempstead

A 15-year-old boy was fatally shot in his hometown of Hempstead early Monday morning, Nassau County police said.

Hempstead village police officers responded to a report of shots being fired and found the victim, Josue Guzman, dead at the corner of Laurel Avenue and Linden Avenue shortly after 1 a.m., police said.

No arrests have been made.

Homicide Squad detectives ask anyone with information regarding this shooting to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
