Eugene Stefano, of Lattingtown, died on July 20, 2016, at age 91. Beloved husband of Beverly, devoted father of Gail Dowdney (Tommy) and Carol Muojo (Paul). Cherished grandfather of Lauren Grillo (Ray), Jackie Muojo and the late Richard Hussong. Dear brother of John(Ruth) and Phyllis Ewy and brother-in-law of Gloria Johnson. Survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Gene was a WWII Navy veteran who flew on the PB4Y-2-Privateer as a flight engineer/gunner. After the war he and his brother, John, went into business together. They owned and operated North Shore Tire Shop, Village Squire Liquors and Amoco Service Station in Sea Cliff, and continued to serve the community for many years. Gene was a longtime member of the Kiwanis Club and the American Legion.
