To celebrate the opening of the Jewish Yoga School and the holiday of Sukkot, the community is invited to join the free program in Temple Beth-El of Great Neck’s sukkah on Tuesday, Oct. 18, from 9 to 11 a.m.
The mission of the Jewish Yoga School at Temple Beth-El is to create a vibrant, welcoming and inspiring sanctuary for spiritual growth through Jewish yoga and meditation.
Community members of all backgrounds and faiths are welcome to experience the postures, meditation and Hebrew chants that create a bridge to delve deeper into an embodied, emotionally engaged experience of Jewish prayer.
New and experienced students are welcome to attend. Participants should bring a yoga mat and dress in layers. Preregistration is required at 516-487-0900.
Light refreshments will be served and information about the Jewish Yoga School’s classes, seminars, trainings, retreats, teacher certifications, networking and teaching opportunities will be available.
