In what has become a wonderful annual event, fourth-grade students from Saddle Rock Elementary School participated in a learning experience that simultaneously beautified Steppingstone Park earlier this month. Along with the students, their teachers and parent chaperones, Commissioners Robert A. Lincoln, Jr., Dr. Daniel M. Nachmanoff and Frank S. Cilluffo, Steppingstone Park Supervisor Curtis Phillips and Park District park employees Victor Eze and Peter Ojemeke took part in the event. The energetic students were given gloves, small shovels and tulip bulbs that were provided by the Park District. Park Supervisor Curtis Phillips, along with Victor and Peter, showed the children how much fun it could be to cultivate their green thumbs.
