The Kochavim Group of Great Neck Hadassah is holding its biggest fundraiser of the year, a ladies night out, on Thursday, Dec. 8, at Temple Beth-El in Great Neck at 6:30 p.m.
The event will feature award-winning stand-up comedian Cory Kahaney, who was a grand finalist on Last Comic Standing. She has made appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The View, Comedy Central and HBO. Kahaney’s act is autobiographical, culled from her life as a wife, ex-wife, mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, mother-in-law and upcoming role as a grandmother.
It will be a fun night for women to enjoy exciting boutiques, raffle prizes, a buffet dinner and cocktails. This year’s honoree is Great Neck resident Marjorie Hoffman for her work and dedication to Hadassah for the past 24 years. The funds raised will help Hadassah Medical Centers, worldwide leaders in medicine and nursing, continue its important work.
