Man Found Dead in Elmont

A 57-year-old man was found dead in Elmont on Thursday morning, Nassau County police said.

Fifth Precinct officers responded to an alleyway between Huntley and Wellington roads, where the man was found lying dead on the grass shortly after 8 a.m., police said.

Homicide Squad detectives are continuing the investigation but do not suspect foul play.

The Nassau County Medical Examiner’s office will perform an autopsy to determine his cause of death. He was identified as Patrick Rogers, who has no known address.
