The Town of North Hempstead will be hosting the Winter Wonderland Train and Light Show from Dec. 18 to 22 inside the historic Clark House at Clark Botanic Garden in Albertson.
Residents are invited to visit the Clark House to enjoy the celebration, which will feature a holiday train show with a steam locomotive donated by Willis Hobbies and holiday lights in the garden. In addition, there will be family-friendly activities throughout the week including a large ride-on train for children, holiday storytelling, crafts, stargazing and more.
The fun begins on Sunday, Dec. 18, from 2 to 7 p.m., with holiday festivities including a ride-on train, hot chocolate, storytelling, arts and crafts, free photo booth and light displays.
On Monday, Dec. 19, the event will be open from 4 to 7 p.m. and will feature short theatrical readings by the fire.
Visit Clark House on Tuesday, Dec. 20, from 4 to 7 p.m., for storytelling with the Williston Park Library.
On Wednesday, Dec. 21, from 4 to 7 p.m., star gaze in the garden to mark the winter solstice.
The final night of Winter Wonderland will be a dance party for kids featuring DJ Kev Dee on Thursday, Dec. 22, from 4 to 7 p.m. Who knows, maybe Santa will stop by.
“This year’s Winter Wonderland is destined to be a family-friendly hit with so many great new activities and still featuring some old favorites, like the train set and light show,” said Bosworth.
