Uniondale Teen Dies After Being Shot in Head

A 16-year-old boy died three days after being shot in the head in his hometown of Uniondale last week, Nassau County police said.

Alexon Moya was shot while standing on Fenimore Avenue at 11:27 p.m. Tuesday and died at 7 p.m. Friday at Nassau University Medical Center, police said.

Two suspects fled the scene on bicycles. The assailants were only described as Hispanic men.

Homicide Squad detectives are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information on this case to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  All callers will remain anonymous.
