Approximately 85 Kochavim women gathered at Temple Beth-El of Great Neck for an evening of cocktails, dinner, shopping and laughter—all for a worthwhile cause. The funds raised from the Kochavim Group of Great Neck Hadassah’s biggest fundraiser of the year will be used to help Hadassah Medical Centers, worldwide leaders in medicine and nursing.

The event featured award-winning stand-up comedian Cory Kahaney, who was a grand finalist on Last Comic Standing. She has made appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The View, Comedy Central and HBO. Kahaney’s act was autobiographical, culled from her life as a wife, ex-wife, mother, daughter, daughter-in-law and mother-in-law. Attendees were in stitches as they laughed at her jokes.

Attendees had the opportunity to shop at unique boutiques. The generous support from local merchants and vendors, who donated great raffle prizes, helped the group raise more than $15,000.
