Anti-Semitism Talk At Beth-El

AntiSemitismTalk 032217.A
Lauren Rogers

College campuses are becoming a hotbed for anti-Semitism. What are young adults encountering? Are they prepared to respond to hate and misinformation about Jews and Israel? These questions will be answered during The Dangerous Rise of Anti-Semitism on the College Campus talk with Robert Socolof, director of American Jewish Committee (AJC) Long Island, and Lauren Rogers, UCLA graduate, at Temple Beth-El of Great Neck on Saturday, March 25, at 10 a.m.

After traveling to Israel with the AJC Project Interchange, Rogers, a recent college grad who will share her story, suffered through a harrowing legal battle and a scary personal experience at the hands of Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions against Israel (BDS) activists.

Socolof will share how the Jewish community is standing in support of Jewish college students in the face of BDS and anti-Semitism.

Attendance is free, and a light brunch will be served following services at 5 Old Mill Rd. For more information, call 516-487-0900 or visit www.tbegreatneck.org.
