Julio Cesar Gonzales-Espantzay, 19, of Valley Stream was identified as the homicide victim whose body was found in Massapequa Preserve last month, Nassau County police said.
The victim’s body was discovered near Seaview Avenue and Ocean Avenue in Massapequa Preserve on March 23.
Police have ruled his death a homicide and released a sketch, which the department distributed with the hope that someone could identify him.
His body was taken to the Nassau County Medical Examiner’s office to help determine a cause of death.
Police did not release any other details on Wednesday.
