A 39-year-old man was killed and two others were injured Wednesday night in a head-on collision involving a Nassau Inter County Express (NICE) Bus in Farmingdale, Nassau County police said.
The unidentified man killed in the crash was driving a minivan west on Conklin Street at 9:41 p.m. when the vehicle collided with the bus, which was carrying two passengers and the driver, police said.
The driver of the minivan was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The operator of the NICE Bus and a single passenger were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Authorities are withholding the victim’s name pending notification of next of kin.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
