Two men were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance that occurred in Franklin Square on Sunday, Sept. 17, at 11:10 p.m., reported the Major Case Bureau of the Nassau County Police Department.
According to Narcotics/Vice Bureau detectives, an extensive investigation by the Long Island Heroin Task Force for the sale of narcotics that was occurring on the Internet was being conducted in the Franklin Square area.
Detectives identified and arrested Dean J. Moran, 29, of Terrace Circle in Great Neck, and Nicolas Chapman, 27, of New Hyde Park, on Sunday, Sept. 17.
A subsequent investigation led to the recovery of a large assortment of narcotics that included 16.5 grams of cocaine, 13 grams of MDMA (Ecstasy), 73 tabs of LSD, 2.5 ounces of marijuana, 71 20 milligram pills of Oxycodone and liquid THC.
Moran is charged with three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Chapman is charged with attempted petit larceny.
Both men were arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Monday, Sept. 18.
