The annual Barbara Mandell Tennis Party was held on Sept. 6 at Bevanda Restaurant in Great Neck.
The event celebrating the 2017 tennis season was a resounding success as players gathered to show their appreciation to Mandell for her tireless efforts arranging games at Memorial Field.
This year’s celebration was especially noteworthy as Mandell was honored by the Great Neck Park District. Commissioners Daniel Nachmanoff and Frank Cilluffo presented the organizer with a certificate “in recognition of her devoted service and valuable contributions to Memorial Field tennis programs.”
Live entertainment by Kindred Soul enhanced the excitement of an evening filled with lively conversation, camaraderie and dancing. The party was the perfect finale to an enjoyable tennis season.
