A 35-year-old man was found shot to death in his hometown of Hempstead on Christmas, Nassau County police said.
Police officers responded to a Shot Spotter alert on Terrace Avenue and upon arrival, they discovered they found Rafael Cepeda had been shot numerous times at 6:25 p.m., authorities said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead an hour later.
No arrests have been made. Homicide Squad detectives are continuing the investigation.
