SpringDayTrips C
Spend the day at the Long Island Aquarium

It may not look like it just yet, but it is officially spring. That means spring break is right around the corner. It’s probably too late for a trip to Miami, but that doesn’t mean there is nothing left for you to do. Here are some activities for anyone who is looking to get out of the house this spring.

Venture out to the Long Island Aquarium and Exhibition Center

The Long Island Aquarium is the perfect place to go if you are interested in learning about marine life. The aquarium has a number of indoor and outdoor exhibits and a variety of unique interactive experiences that range from taking a selfie with a penguin to diving with sharks. The 20,000-gallon coral reef exhibit is one of the largest all-living, closed-system coral reef displays in the Western hemisphere. The exhibits contain mostly aquatic animals, but also contain bird and bug exhibits. The aquarium is located at 431 East Main Street in Riverhead.

Go to a baseball game
