During Fleet Week New York (FWNY), Navy Band Northeast, U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Silent Drill Team and the Marine Corps (USMC) Battle Color Detachment are scheduled to perform at various locations from May 22 to 28.
All events are free and open to the general public.
Tuesday, May 22
- Noon – 1:15 p.m. Navy Band Northeast will perform a concert in Central Park’s Naumburg Band Shell.
Wednesday, May 23
- 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Navy Band Northeast’s “Brass Band” will perform a concert at the South Street Seaport, 12 Fulton St., Manhattan.
- 1 – 2 p.m. USCG Silent Drill Team will perform on Liberty Island.
Thursday, May 24
- 4 – 5 p.m. Navy Band Northeast’s “Ceremonial Band” will perform a concert at the arch in Washington Square Park, Greenwich Village, Manhattan..
Friday, May 25
- 1 – 1:30 p.m. USCG Silent Drill Team will perform on the 9/11 Memorial Plaza, Manhattan.
- 3:30 – 4 p.m. USCG Silent Drill Team will perform at Military Island, Times Square, Manhattan.
- 7:15 – 7:45 p.m. USMC Martial Arts Program will hold a demonstration at Military Island, Times Square, Manhattan.
- 8 – 9:15 p.m. Navy Band Northeast’s Rock Band, “Rhode Island Sound,” will perform at Military Island, Times Square, Manhattan.
Saturday, May 26
- 3:30 p.m. USMC Battle Color Detachment, including the world famous USMC Silent Drill Platoon and Drum and Bugle Corps is scheduled to perform during Marine Day at Prospect Park, Brooklyn.
- Noon – 1 p.m. Navy Band Northeast’s “Brass Band” will perform at Eisenhower Park, East Meadow, during the aviation event. Full aviation event runs from 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- 11 – 11:30 p.m. USCG Silent Drill Team will perform aboard USS Arlington (LPD 24), Pier 90, Manhattan.
- 3 – 3:30 p.m. USCG Silent Drill Team will perform at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in the Red Hood community.
- 5 – 6:30 p.m. Navy Band Northeast’s Rock Band, “Rhode Island Sound,” will perform at Military Island, Times Square, Manhattan.
- 8 – 9 p.m. USMC Battle Color Detachment, including the world famous USMC Silent Drill Platoon and Drum and Bugle Corps is scheduled to perform during Marine Day at Prospect Park, is scheduled to perform in at Father Duffy Square in Times Square in front of the TKTS red steps.
Sunday, May 27
- 9 – 9:30 a.m. USCG Silent Drill Team will perform on the 9/11 Memorial Plaza, Manhattan.
- 10 – 10:30 a.m. USMC Battle Color Detachment is scheduled to perform at the conclusion of the Fleet Week Freedom Run on the 9/11 Memorial Plaza, Manhattan.
- 12:15 – 1 p.m. Navy Band Northeast’s “Brass Band” will perform during the aviation event at Liberty State Park, Jersey City. Full aviation event runs from noon – 5 p.m.
- 1:30 – 2 p.m. USCG Silent Drill Team will perform during the aviation event at Liberty State Park, Jersey City. Full aviation event runs from noon – 5 p.m.
- 5 – 6:30 p.m. Navy Band Northeast’s Rock Band, “Rhode Island Sound,” will perform at Military Island in Times Square.
Monday, May 28
- 1 – 1:30 p.m. USCG Silent Drill Team will perform on the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, Pier 86, Manhattan.
In addition to scheduled public performances, a Navy Dive Tank will be on display in Times Square at Military Island. Navy divers will dive in the tank daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting on Thursday, May 24, and continuing through Saturday, May 26.
