In solidarity with the Jewish community of Pittsburgh after the horrific shooting death of 11 congregants at the Tree of Life synagogue during services on Saturday, Oct. 27, and in an effort to increase the connections within the Great Neck community, a brief community-wide gathering to recite Tehillim, or Psalms, and join together in prayer will be held on Monday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m. in Great Neck Synagogue’s main sanctuary at 26 Old Mill Rd.
Participating institutions include Ahavat Shalom, Babylonian Jewish Center, Beth Hadassah Synagogue, Chabad of Great Neck, Cherry Lane Minyan, Congregation Shaarei Torah, Great Neck Synagogue, Kol Yisrael Achim, Kollel Ohr HaEmet, Long Island Sephardic Center, Magen Israel Congregation, Midrash Ben Ish Hai, Saddle Rock Minyan, Sephardic Heritage Alliance Inc., Shaarei Tzion, Temple Israel, Temple Beth-El, Torah Ohr, United Mashadi Jewish Community of America and Young Israel of Great Neck.
