“I come from a family of educators. My mom [Lucille] is the superintendent of schools in Massapequa and my brother is a teacher at Half Hollow Hills and so I’ve always had such respect for the education that I got in the public school system. It really gave me the tools to be a well-rounded, kind, fairly well-functioning human being,” said Joe Iconis, composer and lyricist for the hit Broadway show Be More Chill.
