Munchie
Munchie

Munchie is a beautiful 7-month-old tuxedo who is a bit on the shy side and will need a patient, loving home to help her come out of her shell. She is great with other cats but still nervous around humans.

Nico
Nico

Nico is a 4-year-old black beauty who is as sweet as he is cute! Nico comes from a hoarding situation and was found living in a dark rusty basement, so when you arrive at Almost Home’s cattery you will most likely find him lying on a cat tree in the sun! Nico loves to be pet and purrs all the time.

For more information about adopting Munchie or Nico, contact Almost Home Animal Rescue at www.almosthomeli.org or call 631-627-3665 to bring this little lady home today!

Available for adoption through Pioneers for Animals Welfare Society

Devin
Devin

Devin is a lovable, goofy, playful 2-year-old Pit Mix who was rescued from a high kill shelter in South Carolina. He’s a real cuddle bug and he’ll happily hang out with his head in your lap while you work at your computer. He’s also fond of sleeping next to you. He’s got a great disposition and is friendly to everyone he meets. He loves going on walks and he would make a great hiking companion (and he’s good in the car). Devin is a smart cookie who knows his basic commands and really wants to please. He’s also quite content to hang out on the couch and nibble at his chew toys. Devin is a super sweet dog and would make a great family dog. He’s a big guy (65 lbs) and he is active so he would probably do best in an active home with older kids.

For more information about adopting or fostering Devin, please contact [email protected] or call 631-306-4616. You can also visit their website at paws-li.org

Bruiser
Bruiser

**Special Request** 7-year-old Bruiser deserves the chance to become cherished & hopefully healthier…this big 17 -pound friendly tabby just happened to walk into someone’s Hicksville home. It was his feline way of saying: “I am not feral. I enjoy the company of people and would really like a warm home & family to call my own.” Upon arrival at Last Hope and during his vet intake, it was discovered that not only is Bruiser FIV positive, but he also has a pretty severe heart murmur. He is safe with Last Hope but will need further cardiac evaluation. In the meantime, Last Hope is looking for a home where Bruiser can be warm, comfy & loved.

To meet Bruiser by appointment at Last Hope in Wantagh, call 631-425-1884 or fill out an adoption application on Last Hope’s webpage at lasthopeanimalrescue.org

adopt a pet
Zero

Named after a rather famous celebrity pooch, Zero is a 10-year-old sweetie that recently found her way to the shelter with her right eye half-closed, which the staff believes is the result of an entropion that will be fixed when they spay her soon. Zero is a blast to be with, loves to play, and loves a good game of fetch. She is friendly with people, is a little jumpy too and likes other dogs!! This girl is not to be missed! If you can open your heart and home to her, please email [email protected] or call 516-785-5220 for more information today!

Available for adoption at the Town of Smithtown Animal Shelter

Mia
Mia

Meet the Smithtown Animal Shelter’s Pet of the Week, the playful Mia! Mia is a loving and energetic 2-year-old Pit/Lab Mix who is equal parts goofy and affectionate. Mia came to the shelter as a stray after being hit by a car and fortunately sustaining only minor injuries. She loves to whip around her rope toys and chase after balls. Mia thinks she is a lap dog and will crawl in your lap and shower you with kisses. Mia was a yard dog, so she is protective of her space when it comes to strangers, and she will require a home that can properly introduce her to new people. Once she meets a new friend, she loves them unconditionally. Mia would be best as the only pet in the home. If you are interested in meeting Mia, please call 631-360-7575 today for more information.

As always, thanks for reading, and please remember to always adopt, never shop…pass it on!
