The Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program seeks women and men who have had breast cancer to become hotline volunteers. The four-session takes place on consecutive Tuesdays — Feb. 8, 15, 22 and March 1 –from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Zoom.
This in-depth training includes presentations by nurse navigators and social workers on basic breast cancer education, active listening skills, and tips on engaging the community. Attendance at all four sessions is required.
For 42 years, the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program has been helping women and men who are diagnosed with breast cancer. The hotline – 800-877-8077—is staffed with trained volunteers—those who have survived breast cancer and now help others.
