Charcuterie with Melinda Space

2:00 – 4:00 p.m. (The Manhasset Public Library, 30 Onderdonk Ave.) Melinda will demonstrate how to create 3 charcuterie boards: a traditional with meat and cheeses, a butter board with flavored butter and items to dip in, and last but not least, a dessert board. You will receive handouts with pairings, the components of creating a charcuterie board, how to assemble, a salami flower-making demo, and a plate of meats, cheeses, olives, pickles, fruits, and nuts to create a charcuterie cup with fancy picks that you can take home. You will also get to graze and nibble on the display boards! Priority to Manhasset library cardholders.  Non-Manhasset cardholders will be placed on a waiting list.

Adult Painting: Favorite Spot Beach Scene

12:00 – 2:00 p.m. (The Manhasset Public Library, 30 Onderdonk Ave.) Bring the peaceful feelings of a calm summer day at the beach into your home. Paint your favorite spot where the sun is always shining and pretty blues and turquoise colors play against white-topped waves and sand. Priority registration for Manhasset Library cardholders. Teen Paint Nite

6:30 – 8:00 p.m. (The Manhasset Public Library, 30 Onderdonk Ave.) Have a snack, listen to some music, and have fun creating an original painting to take home. All materials will be included. Chef Rob Take ‘n Make: Garden Lemon Zucchini Bread

All day  (The Manhasset Public Library, 30 Onderdonk Ave.) Kits will be available to pick up beginning Wednesday, July 17 at the 2nd Floor Reference Desk. Chef Rob shares his “straight from the garden” Lemon Zucchini Bread. Each Take ‘n Make contains dry ingredients and the recipe. Priority given to Manhasset Library cardholders. Port Promenade

5 p.m.-10 p.m. (Main Street, Port Washington) Main Street, Port Washington becomes a car-free zone. The ultimate Port Washington Block Party packed with family fun, music, and games and activities for all ages includes a fashion show, kids’ messy zone, lawn games and corn hole, mini golf, Touch-A-Truck and more. Main Street closes from Port Washington Boulevard to Mackey Avenue. Free parking on side streets and commuter lots after 3 p.m.

Safe Boating Courses

America’s Boating Club regularly holds both virtual and in person boating safety classes. Club members, as well as non-members, participate via Zoom from throughout Long Island.
