Two Herricks High School AP Photography students have been selected for the 2024 Drexel University High School Photography Contest Exhibition.
The photographs Connor Chang and David Noh created were among the 160 winners selected from over 2,100 entries throughout the United States.
The students learned about their acceptance from AP Photography teacher Allyson Zebrowski, who was excited to share the news and provide insight into what she believes make these extraordinary photographs stand out.
“Connor Chang’s ‘A Glimpse into a Cultural Sanctuary’ is a powerful, dynamic image that captures the emotional bond between two figures,” said Ms. Zebrowski. “Connor has a remarkable ability to ‘find’ the perfect shot and capture those fleeting, special moments.”
“David Noh’s piece, ‘Reflective Nature,’ is a stunning landscape photograph that explores humanity’s relationship with the purity of nature,” she continued. “I love how David captured nature’s simple beauty and chose black and white to emphasize the raw essence of the scene.”
Connor and David’s work will be on display at the Photography Gallery at Drexel University in Philadelphia from Feb. 15 through March 8 and will also be featured in an online exhibition on a website dedicated to the contest.
