Dara Kaplan’s third-grade class at Harbor Hill Elementary School visited Safety Town at Eisenhower Park, where students learned essential lessons about staying safe in their everyday lives.

During the visit, students explored key safety concepts, including following traffic signs and signals, riding bicycles safely and understanding the roles of community helpers. They also practiced making smart choices as pedestrians and cyclists in real-life scenarios, helping build both confidence and responsibility.

“Safety Town is always one of the highlights for students,” Kaplan said. “They had so much fun learning how to be safe.”

The hands-on experience reinforces the Roslyn School District’s commitment to educating students not only academically but also in the life skills that prepare them to be thoughtful, responsible members of their community.
