In addition to duties legally enumerated by the New York State Constitution and County Charter, the County Clerk has a duty to be accountable to the individuals it serves.” He said he “will fulfill this duty by increasing the office’s visibility and the public’s awareness of the services it has to offer. It is the right of every Nassau resident to access information in the possession of the County Clerk and to do so in a timely manner. With the implementation of modern managerial and technological improvements to address waste and mismanagement” Solages said he is focused on empowering homeowners, businesses, and all working people by offering easy access to information and emphasizing taxpayer savings.
