4th Annual EMSC Passback Collection This Weekend

Last year, led by teenagers Jacklyn & Mike Sullivan and Michaela Vivona, the East Meadow Soccer Club (EMSC) collected over 1,700 “gently used” pieces of soccer equipment for needy children in Iraq & Haiti. Over the past three years, the EMSC Passback program contributed 4,700 items.

This year’s focus is on local giving – United States kids in need. Lots of families are hurting due to today’s challenging economic times and the goal of Passback is to ensure that every child can play.

Collections will take place at the Aug. 29-30 Covanta Tournament.

EMSC remains the largest student-run Passback program east of the Mississippi, and second largest in the nation. Please help by placing your clean, gently used soccer equipment in a designated bin at any of the 14 tournament venues located throughout Nassau County.

If you cannot visit a tournament field on Aug. 29 or Aug. 30 and still wish to donate items, call 581-6593 or email sully49@gmail.com to make other arrangements to do so.
