To all of our friends and neighbors in Farmingdale:
We have been overwhelmed by the love, support, caring and concern shown by our community, its various members and organizations, as well as individuals, during this tragic period in our lives. We feel blessed to live here. As we now try to pick up the pieces of our lives and get back to the business of daily living in our community, we see continued instances of your kindnesses and generosity. We want you to know how grateful we are for all that has been done for us and the memory of our son, Lance Corporal James D. Argentine. We’d like to make special mention of the U.S. Marine Corps personnel who have provided unwavering, loyal and caring support to our family and continue to do so. We will forever hold in our minds the sight of our friends, neighbors and community members paying their final respects to our son as we brought him to his final resting place, right here in his home town, and how fitting it is for him to be among those who have shown him such honor, respect and love.
