Dorothy H. McCarthy, of Hicksville, died on Sept. 16, 2009. Wife of the late Lawrence M. Mother of Eileen, Kathy Alpy, Colleen, Anne Hoehing (Gary), Pattie Murphy (Tommy), Theresa Brown (Kevin) and Mary Ellen Amzler (Steve). Sister of Florence Metz. Grandmother of Larry McCarthy, Devin Laviano, Chris and Ryan Murphy, Zach, Brittney and Connor Hoehing, MacKenzie, Meegan and McKayla Brown and Madeline, Matthew and Jennifer Amzler. Aunt of many. The family was cared for by the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, Hicksville Chapel. Mass at Our Lady of Mercy RC Church. Interment Pinelawn Memorial Park.
