Bagels and A Whole lot More Garden City Dodgers
Vs. Stutzmann Funeral Home Cubs

The Dodgers continue to improve on the field and at bat. Mathew Merolla and Brian Kornreich were marvelous at first. Joey Muratore and Justin Yang were cat like off the mound. Paul Depaulis and Danny McCellan made powerful throws to first from the hot corner. Nicholas Marsella, and Steven Derocchis kept the ball from leaving the middle of the infield. Cenzo Montoni continues to field second base well. Justin Marsella and Michael Campagnoulo were involved in multiple plays at the plate. The Dodgers continue to run the bases well and always remember to run them out.

State Bank Of Long Island Cardinals
Vs. Ridgewood Savings Bank Angels

Despite an extremely trimmed-down roster, the mighty Cardinals displayed spectacular fielding and offensive power against an impressive Angel’s team today. Leading the way for the Cardinals was slugger Anthony DePompeis who drove in 3 runs with a single and his third monster HR of the season. Also swinging a hot bat was Sean Fishbein who not only hit 3 singles and scored a run but played spectacular defense in the infield with several unassisted force outs at second base including one that led to an exciting double play. Michael Mellone also contributed offensively with 2 singles and a run scored while John Napolitano hit a single in the bottom of the 3rd inning that led to a run scoring rally. Scott Schanter contributed defensively with a great play in the infield on an unassisted force out at 2nd base followed by a quick throw to 3rd base which nearly resulted in an inning-ending double play. Kenny Gensch and Alessandro Lacerra both flashed the leather in the field. Go Cardinals!
