Obituary – Edith Weisel

Edith (Edythe) Joyce Weisel (nee Grossman), of Rego Park, died peacefully on Oct. 3, 2009. She joined her husband of 67 years, Joseph, her parents, Madeline and Edward and her brother Lewis Grossman. Mother of Robert (Irma). Grandma of Riku (Milargros) and Anri. They will truly miss her love, guidance and support, along with her witty and quick humor. After retiring from NY State Civil Services in Long Island City, she again began art training which she started in her youth. This led to a second career as art instructor at the Rego Park Senior Center. This job gave her great pleasure for many years. We will miss her sense of beauty. Arrangements were made by the Arthur F. White Funeral Home. A funeral service, with Rabbi David Schnitzler presiding, was held on Oct. 7 at the funeral home, Interment Calverton National Cemetery.
