Capital One Bank in Oyster Bay held a fiesta event on Oct. 9 to support “Friendly Piñatas”, a project of the Centro Cultural Hispano (CCH, the hispanic cultural center) created to help members weather the current economic crisis. Members attended workshops and training sessions designed to teach not only the folk craft but also to learn business skills such as marketing. Their goal is to one day have their own small business.
CCH thanks goes to all the support given by Branch Manager Bridget Betancourt and Assistant Branch Manager Lilliam Escamilla who set – up and managed the beautiful displays at the bank.
The Centro Cultural Hispano (CCH, the Hispanic Cultural Center) wants to thank Capital Bank One for the check given on Nov. 16. This generous gift will help the Centro Cultural Hispano to keep running their current programs.
