The Williston Park Little League 10U tournament team made a recent visit to Williston Park Village Hall to present Mayor Odierna and trustee Darmstadt with toys for the United States Marie Corps Toys for Tots drive.
The families of the boys on the team are proud of the boys for how well they played the entire year. The team represented Williston Park in 10 tournaments this year, winning two of them. The championship trophys from the Patriot Summer League and the Diamond Pros Fall Tournament are prominently displayed in the village hall display case for all to see.
The players on the team include: John Barry, John Capozzoli, Thomas McCue, Vincent Napolitano, Liam O’Gara, Jack Prochner, Joseph Grimm, Christopher Hembach, Matthew Hogan, Sean Kelly, Sean Salamone, Jon Sanelli, Michael Sanelli and Mathew Tavernite. Win or lose the team had fun on and off the field.
Coachs Kevin Kelly, Lou Lanfair, Vin Napolitano and Ralph Salamone report that the team worked hard and always tried its best while learning the importance of teamwork.
The team is looking forward to the 2010 season.
